Level: Beginner or Intermediate

Cushions are perfect for a quick style accent in the home or as a gift.  This class gives you the chance to improve your sewing skills and express your own design ideas by choosing fabrics and decorative techniques. 

Choose from 2 options:

Option 1

A two and a half hour workshop where you will learn how to insert an invisible zip and how to make and apply piping cord. You will take home samples and skills to enable you to make your own cushion at home.

Option 2

A whole day workshop (10am-4pm, bring your own lunch).

We'll advise you on what to buy in advance of the class. You'll bring your chosen fabric, zip and cushion pad, make up the cushion cover to take away the same day!

Techniques demonstrated include:

• preparing and cutting fabric

• how to stitch and finish seams

•  the concealed or invisible zip

• making and attaching piping cord
